Very attractive, early dollhouse gentleman…. Antique bisque shoulderhead, dollhouse male figure for your dollhouse family. He has molded and painted. Brown hair with incised comb marks, center parted with part continuing at the back. Matching eyebrows and dashing brown mustache. Nice mouth and excellent blushed coloring. His head is lightly attached with threads (those are threads in the close up photo, not cracks). He has detailed bisque lower arms and finely detailed hands. Brown molded boots with tan soles. (1 boot broken off, needs lower legs replaced) and original linen body with sawdust filling. Incised on the back of the shoulder. And wears a his. 3-piece, black & white wool tweed suit with coat tails and linen shirt. With tears to the back of his clothing and missing jacket sleeve (although there is enough material present to make a sleeve) no repairs, no fading or stains and no odors as he is from a smoke free home. Very good quality little doll, circa 1900. And a real treasure as these. Earlier dolls are quite difficult to find. Other dolls (shown) from his extensive family and dollhouse furniture are.
