She collected dolls starting from when she first married in the mid 1920’s and was active in doll collecting until she passed away in 1975. My Grandmother was an avid doll collector and was heavily involved in the Washington DC Dollology Club. At one time she was President of the Club. I had the dolls on display in glass cabinets until I moved. Since then they have been stored in an air conditioned space in my home. Even though I love them all, I just don’t have room to display them. I hope you find one or two that you love and will add them to your collection! Please keep an eye on my other listings as I will be listing over the next few weeks. Vintage 1930’s Composition DAPPER DAN Ventriloquist Dummy Doll 23″ “Pansy IV German bisque socket head girl doll. Original wig has been cut, blue swirl glass sleep eyes, open mouth with teeth, on jointed composition body. She comes wearing a lovely handmade vintage dress with slip and one piece underwear, shoe booties and socks. All need a good cleaning but are otherwise in good condition. CONDITION: Unfortunately this poor girl was dropped at some point in her life and she cracked her head in several places – see photos. She has been glued back together. Also, her head (not attached), arms (still attached but loose) and legs (completely loose/unattached) need new elastic thread and need to be restrung to her body. All the metal hook parts are there. With a little TLC she will be a charming addition to any collection! The photos are part of the description. I do make every effort to disclose any noteworthy condition issues I can find or think of. But these are antique and vintage dolls — so, please understand that they won’t be in brand-new condition.
