A Lovely Antique Victorian German Bisque China Head/Feet/Arms Doll w/ Stuffed Body, 9 Tall, Circa 1870. This doll has been in my family for over 100 years. It came over to America with my Great Aunt from Germany. This doll features a lovely bisque China head with blond hair, blue eyes and rosy cheeks! The china back of the doll is embossed with what looks like a number 4…. But not sure, very hard to read. The china legs have a blue hand painted bow along with brown shoe boots. The arms are china to the elbow and are sewn to the sawdust stuffed body. I believe the attire is original, although I don’t know for sure. Very authentic looking victorian dress with pretty lace and pantaloons! The dress is dusty and a bit stained…. But given the age, is in remarkable condition.
