Offered is an antique large German doll body for celluloid should plate doll head. This doll body is 23″ long from shoulder to feet, it originally would have been 30″ long if head is intact. This was a large celluloid doll but the head was so fragile it broke into pieces. I tried to save all the pieces as you can see. The doll body is kid leather torso with wood socket arms, strung and pin jointed leather covered wood upper arms with a full bisque arm from elbows to hands. One hand has a chip on the backside of one finger, see photo. The arms are marked with the number 10 along top edge. The legs are also pin jointed with celluloid legs from knee down. The doll body is in good condition, some loose leather around joints. I could not find a mark or maker, I assume it is from Germany.
