This 16 doll has a gorgeous shoulder head made of desirable light colored bisque. The mold number 309 is under the edge of the leather on the back. Produced in the 1890’s. Bisque is excellent – no damage or restoration. There are a few very tiny pepper dots on the face, often found on dolls of this age. They don’t detract from the doll’s beauty. Beautiful elongated facial modeling features beautiful stationary spiral glass blue eyes, natural blushing, perfectly painted features including French style painted lips. Her replaced wig enhances her light colored complexion. BODY: The doll’s original kid gusset jointed body has bisque lower arms and hands and cloth lower legs. The sturdy body has a few old extremely tiny leather patches with no leaks. Dolly wears an elegant designer made chiffon gown with a separate fitted garment that has a long train.
