This child is a beautiful and welcome harbinger of spring! Such a rare and absolutely gorgeous little cabinet-size character doll. She is a sweet darling of a thing, and in wonderful condition. Her face is expertly painted, with delicately feathered eyebrows. She has a glowing pink complexion, lovely cheek blush, and a dainty mouth with two upper teeth. Also sweet little blue sleep eyes and a full, wavy wig of ash-blond mohair. She is wearing an adorable peach silk dress with lace and silk flower embellishments. She has really nice undergarments and good quality doll shoes with socks. And, of course, she comes with her little basket of flowers. If you like to collect the rare and unusual, here is one you won’t want to pass up. They don’t come around for sale very often, so get this little poppet while you can! NOTE: Photo props not included: DOLL STAND. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. No issues found with the bisque after careful examination. Her chunky jointed composition body has its original paint. There is a tiny repair to the baby finger on her left hand. IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not.
