The dolls are beautiful and well-cared for pieces, dressed in carefully matched clothing. The heirs are offering the collection to a new generation to treasure and enjoy. Each doll comes with the provenance of original acquisition. Included is extensive typewritten note about the doll and its condition. A photo of this note is uploaded. Following is the description from Marn’s. 11 Bisque head, papier mache body. Armand Marseille 390 Mold pg. Ethnic consume doll with blue glass sleep eyes, lashes painted above and below, one stroke eyebrows, open mouth, 5 teeth. Can’t tell much about body except that it is jointed shoulder and hip and the right foot is broken off. Painted bisque probably late. Wearing Dutch Volendam costume. Red Glass beads, flowered chemise, black sateen bodice and apron trimmed in black and white braid. Apron trimmed in rotted silk ribbon under waistband Came with white cotton apron over the black one.
