MAX HANDWERCK ANTIQUE DOLL. Gorgeous bisque head doll by the German maker Max Handwerck. She has no mold number on the back of her head which is not unusual with this maker, she is probably a 283 dolly faced doll, she has the open mouth and feathered eyebrows with sleep weighted eyes that this mold has. What is so lovely she has her original clothes which although yellowed and aged particularly on the front are still beautiful. I can see no hairlines to her head or signs of restoration and I believe her to be in original condition. Her composition body is in good condition although her head flops forward and she could do with being restrung. She has one little finger missing from one of her hands.
