All the needed info without the flowery hard sell stuff–just the basics. I have used “German Doll Marks & Identification book by Jurgen & Marianne Cieslik for identification, and Linda Edward’s Book “Doll Values Antique to Modern as price reference. This is a 20 shoulder head marked with what I believe to be the Karl Hartman cipher.. As always, check pictures closely, ask if you need more. It has original body which surprisingly has leather covered upper arms & astonishingly plastic lower arms. This is an undamaged head marked with what I believe is the Karl Hartman cipher. There are no hairline cracks that I can see. Her bisque quality and painting are average. She has an open mouth and 4 teeth. Her antique brown glass sleep eyes are probably not original. Her ears are not pierced. Karl Hartman cipher but instead of a K there is a 4. The body is leather and is original to the doll. It is in very good condition. The body has the usual scuffing. It is stained in the back primarily. It is not leaking. The left ankle seam was split and has been glued closed. The elbows, hips, knees have rivets, no tears. The upper arms are wood with leather glued to them. What is baffling to me are the plastic arms. Hey look original to the doll but in my limited experience, I have never seen this. If they are replaced, they are of perfect size, and rivets were removed and replace without any evidence to that effect. The walking suit I have listed separately I had displayed on this doll. Underarm circumference is 10.5. Length from waist to bottom of feet is 11. Shoulderplate width in back 4 3/4. The synthetic mohair wigs cannot be combined with anything other than the other new SM wigs, and the straw flowers that are listed. Many of these have been put together with parts bought separately over years. I describe to the best of my ability. Packing is with clean and washed materials that otherwise would have wound up in the recycling bin. It is not elegant but will keep the doll safe. FOR PACKING I USE CLEAN PLASTICS THAT CAN BE RECYCLED, NOT NEW PACKING MATERIALS. THE BOX/PACKING MAY NOT LOOK PRETTY BUT IT IS SECURE. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE PLASTIC MILK CARTONS, NEWSPAPERM EMPTY FOOD PACKAGES, ETC. THE HEAD IS WRAPPED IN EITHER NEW OR USED BUBBLE WRAP.
