This antique bisque doll is just over 24 (2ft) tall. She has a beautiful dress and lovely petticoat slip. Her body is made of leather, though I’m not sure what she is filled with (sand, sawdust, straw are possibilities). Her legs and feet are in perfect condition. Her arms and hands are also in great condition, though the glaze has the antique crackle look that comes with age. I’m not sure what it’s called. Her name plate says “Dorothy” though the gold paint has worn off. It can easily be touched up by a professional. She also has several rub marks on her head where the black paint on her hair has been worn off. There are no cracks or fractures that I’m able to see, as you can see in the pictures. I don’t know a lot about dolls, just what my grandmother taught me, and what Facebook groups could tell me about her. She comes from a smoke free, but pet friendly home.
