Very Scarce Antique German Bisque Head Doll by Carl Harmus, c1910-15. Measuring 205 mm 8″ high, this little doll has “sleeping eyes, nicely modelled features, rosy cheeks and lips, painted brows and eyelashes. She has a wig of long brunette silky tresses. The nape of her neck has the name HARMUS and the code 660 610 imprinted. The composition body is jointed at shoulders and hips. There are a few cracks and points of wear mainly to the lower back and where the legs join [see photos], but she is basically sound and very good condition. She is wearing a cotton dress with lacy overlay, velvet waistband and pretty rosebud detail. Underneath is a knitted vest and lace-edged cotton pantaloons which button at the waist. Carl Harmus made dolls for export and won a Grand Prize in Paris in 1900. I will hold items for up to a week to combine posting. Tracked services are extra, I show standard rates on my listing.
