Antique German Parian Bisque 13 Doll C. Offering an antique German parian bisque shoulderhead doll, c. Doll features sculpted light brown hair arranged in rolled curls, painted blue upper glancing eyes with red and brown upper eyeliner, single stroke brows, closed mouth with center accent line, sculpted bodice with gilt-accented collar and blue polka dot bow tie. Doll has a firm stitch-jointed body with porcelain lower arms, (one arm is bisque, the other is glazed – possibly replaced) and lower legs with hand-painted blue garters and black boots with red ties. Doll is dressed in a blue suit featuring jacket and short trousers with lace trim. This shoulderhead with the sidepart was used by C. For both young men and women on a kid (child) body. Note the clothes are sewn on and are unable to be removed from doll, I did my best to roll up arms and legs to photo the stitched body. 13″ long x 3 ½” wide at shoulder. In very good antique condition, as noted one arm is bisque, the other glazed from possible replacement, there is a line down one leg that appears to be a tight hairline, and minor gilt loss around the neck commensurate with age, please see all photos.
