This is a charming 23 Antique Bisque head leather body doll, made in Germany. It is an early Cuno, Otto and Dressel doll. She has a gorgeous open mouth with front teeth showing and delicately brushed upper and lower eyelashes. The doll has a leather body, arms and legs, and composition hands. The doll is with set, brown eyes. There are no visible cracks or damage on the bisque head. Back of the neck is marked, “1896 – COD – 2 – DEP”. She wears a blue dress with lot of lace, matching bonnet, white underwear dress, pants socks and a shoes. The outfit appears to be old, but I would consider it to be vintage rather than antique. There could be some small rips and stains, consistent with the age of the old antique and vintage clothes. The doll is in overall good antique condition. Some of the stuffing around her arms is missing. There is some repairs on the body with tape. It will be a great gift to someone special. Or beautiful addition to any antique dolls collection!
