Presented for your consideration is this large antique doll made by Heinrich Handwerck. The German doll has a bisque socket head with a jointed composition body. The doll has very detailed facial features which include large stationary brown eyes, parted lips to show 4 front teeth, dimpled chin and rosy cheeks. The head is finished with a red wavy wig. The body is jointed at the knees, wrists and elbows. The head will turn as well. The back of the head is marked with Handwerck Germany 6 1/2. This hallmark represents Heinrich Handwerck who was in business from 1876 to 1932. All of the strings are tight and the joints move with ease. The doll wears white pantaloons, white slip, white socks and a light pink dress with lace trim and a matching bonnet and beaded earrings. This gorgeous doll is guaranteed to be antique and would make a great addition to any antique or vintage doll collection! Parts of the body have been repainted, it has age related wear but overall good condition for the age. Head is free of chips and cracks. Overall the doll is in VERY GOOD condition.
