Incised at the rim the under her wig. She is an absolute sweetheart! Such a gorgeous doll, from the best German dollmakers, and with crisp markings. This little lady packs a real wow factor, with long strawberry-blonde curls to the middle of her back… And with those incredible flirty brown doe eyes. I’ve been in the doll business for many years, but have never seen one with eyes that flirt so effortlessly back and forth, giving the impression that she is alive and her eyes are following your every movement. She is truly special! She has pierced ears with pearl earrings. Her dress is unique and beautiful, as are her undergarments and shoes. She is such a doll baby — she’ll tug at your heart strings! Note: Photo props not included: FRAMED PICTURE, LACE. Beautiful antique condition — from a non-smoking environment. The bisque is in pristine condition, with no issues found after careful examination other than a couple of wig pulls. The face painting is excellent, and she has a very crisp maker’s mark. The body is all-original paint, other than a paint touch-up to the hip and some work on the fingers (see final photo). IMPORTANT: Besides the noteworthy issues mentioned above, EXPECT any antique doll (bisque/composition/leather/china/wood) to ALSO have: (1) SIGNS OF AGE – for example: toned/crazed/chipped composition, minor wig pulls, loss of “hair” lashes on bisque heads, not-so-tight stringing, etc. (2) MINOR CONSERVATION WORK by previous owners/collectors – for example: reset eyes in most cases! , repairs to wig, repairs to clothing, touch-ups on composition/finish/paint, etc. Any MAJOR issues — hairline crack, total repaint, etc. – would be itemized above, but these normal age/conservation details are not.
