15″ Germany bisque head “Dream Baby, incised on back of head: A. (head circumference is 12), has lovely blue glass sleep eyes, painted upper & lower lashes, red accented eyes & nostrils, blushed cheeks, closed red lips, molded dark blond hair, head has no cracks, chips, hairlines or repairs. The celluloid hands are incised: Germany, and are in nice condition, ecru muslin hard stuffed frog leg style body is in very good vintage condition with age related discoloration, no damage or bad odors. Her original clothing includes a very yellowed batiste long dress with embroidered braid & openwork beneath the bodice, fine cotton lace edging the collar & sleeves (lace has pulled away from fabric on 2 areas of the collar – needs some hand stitching to re-attach), sleeves have cotton cord ties, back has 2 sets of snaps to close, is in very good condition other than yellowing, with a few very small dark spots, no holes or rips. The full slip has a cord drawstring neckline & lace edging around the bottom, same condition as dress. The 2nd full length slip is made of white (yellowed) cotton flannel with tiny ric rac edging the bottom, is entirely hand stitched with finished inside seams, pin in back to close, and a matching flannel diaper. Her pink & ecru booties are hand crochet with tassel ties, and there are pink cotton stockings to wear beneath the booties.
