Antique Bisque Dome Head Baby VTg 1912 Character Hertel & Schwab 151 5 14. Sweet Little True Antique Baby Doll. Bent Limb composition body, with curled up toes and angled elbows. Closed Dome head, molded hair at the brow and painted comb marks overall. Fixed blue glass eyes, having the delicate signature Hertel brows. Open closed mouth with molded tongue and two tiny upper teeth. High color cheeks and dimples. An all together very appealing little baby. 14 tall, marked 151 and what appears to be a 5 at the neckline. Quality dolls when made, attributed to Kestner up until a few decades ago. In lovely well preserved condition. Body may have been repainted at some point, well done. Wearing a ribbed cotton tee shirt and diaper, stockings, and a white dress. Obviously a treasured little doll, having been kept with a golden locket, which is also included. Coming from a large home where one family’s treasures have accumulated for over a century.
