Here is a lovely and big 28 Simon Halbig 1079 doll with an excellent bisque head and composition body. The back of her head is marked S. There are no cracks, chips, or hairlines, not even at the pierced ear holes. Her complexion is very smooth. She has beautifully painted upper and lower eyelashes surrounding her blue glass set eyes and 4 teeth peeking out from her open mouth. The eyes have been set because one of the eyes is broken in the bottom back. This does not show at all. I only discovered it when I was going to make the eyes sleep. She has a brown (I think human hair) wig done in ringlets. The composition body has loose balls at the shoulders and is in sturdy condition. There have been some repairs and repaint around the neck socket area and two of the fingers. Please see pictures for more information. She is wearing an antique or vintage white eyelet dress which fits her well. There is a tear in the bodice which doesn’t show since it’s under the collar. Underneath she wear a white cotton slip and pantaloons, both of which feature eyelet lace. To finish her look, she has long white cotton socks and black vintage shoes. Very pretty and big girl!
