25 Kestner Turned Shoulder Head Antique Doll. Such a pretty girl with a soft expression! No cracks, chips or hairlines on her head. She is, however, missing the pinky finger on her left hand. Her cloth body is very firmly stuffed and heavy. Upper arms are kid leather, and lower arms are bisque. She is nicely proportioned. Wig is an older replacement. She is marked “Made in Germany” and a large “L” on her shoulder plate. She has several layers of clothing consisting of a lace-trimmed chemise which is slightly padded to give her a more “womanly” shape, a full cotton eyelet slip, long pantalettes, long, blue satin dress overlaid with old lace (lace is torn in places along the bodice and sleeves), long black stock stockings, black shoes, and a pretty straw hat that makes quite the statement! All fabrics in her clothing are vintage/antique. There are some stains on the slip which I have not attempted to remove. She also wears a cameo necklace.
