She has a beautiful face. 11 1/2 Antique doll with Bisque head, glass eyes, wood and composition body. I cannot find this exact size doll with these markings so she could be rare. I see something like glue on the left eye on the bottom. Perhaps when they glued the eye in the head. She has a open mouth and 4 teeth. No clothes except the vintage socks and shoes. They are worn and the shoes look handmade. The upper arm and ball joints, thighs and ball joints look like a piece of wood painted. There is a paint and clear coat on the body and limbs. I think the lower arms and hands and the lower legs and feet are composition. The body is not real smooth, it looks a little uneven. She is a antique doll and there are imperfections and paint chips on the body and limbs of the doll. The bisque head looks nice with no cracks or chips. The head and body looks original, not reproduction. The markings are different than any other Ernst Heubach doll I found in research. I do belong to a ID doll group and all the persons who responded said this was not a reproduction doll, it is a antique doll. I did not glue her wig on in case you want to replace it. This doll has does NOT say made in Germany. This doll does have these markings below on the head. I did not find another one this size to compare. Research shows that DEP stands for Registered Design and. 9/10 I think shows doll size number. The 1900 may be the doll mold number but not certain. This info is from a similar doll which does fit this one too. She is marked with Horseshoe. Beneath the horseshoe marking, It appears to be that it says “1900 – 9/10″. This marking is contributed to the Ernst Heubach doll company in Germany. Ernst Heubach began making dolls in 1887 and merged with Armand Marseille in 1919. They continued making dolls until 1932. She has pretty cheeks, tiny teeth, stationary eyes, lashes which are painted all the way around her eyes. These little dolls had rather crudely made composition bodies. I could not find this exact doll but this is similar with the horseshoe symbol. Ernst Heubach doll mold 1901, Dolly Face doll. 1901+ Ernst Heubach doll mold 1901 , Dolly Face doll, 16 tall, bisque shoulder head, wigged, single stroke painted eyebrows, sleep eyes, painted eyelashes, open mouth, jointed kid body, doll mark horseshoe symbol 1901.
