This French Fashion Doll has a very beautiful serene expression enhanced by choicest bisque, original wig, wearing antique brown silk gown with pagoda sleeves, undergarments, black leather boots with expandable sides, carrying bone-handled parasol with silk cover and fringe, leather gloves. Attributed to Pierre-Francois Jumeau, Circa, 1870, 18. Bisque swivel head (unmarked stationary shoulder head). On kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, deep blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eyecut. Painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented pale lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig-over-cork pate. Kid fashion body with shapely modeling of torso, gusset jointed limbs, stitched and separated fingers. The overall condition of this doll is very good, but the right hand needs to be repaired. I wrapped thread around it to keep it upright, hand needs to be sewn back on. Some of the sawdust has fallen out from the arm and the garment due to age has come thinned and ripped in some spots.
